My goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment where children and teens of all abilities can fully explore adapted sports programs. Here, they can feel welcome and included in a fun and accommodating setting that allows them to enjoy modified sports and adapted equipment, offering a more beginner-friendly and accessible version of the game.

Adaptations may involve modifying the space, materials, or equipment. Modified games mean that the core concept of the sport remains the same, but the rules are adjusted so students feel more successful while learning to play.

I use balls that beep, balls of different textures and sizes, adjustable basketball stands, larger basketball hoops, motion-activated beepers under the hoops, and allow students to dribble with two hands. Baseballs and mitts may have Velcro attached for learning how to catch, alongside larger bats, smaller courts and diamonds, or a tee or baseball hanging from a rope.

Classes cost $40.00 for each 40-minute session, billed monthly at $160.00 on the 1st day of each month. Classes are offered year-round, except during major holidays and planned calendar breaks.

Above Ability provides classes for children of ALL abilities. Our classes have no more than 5 students per class so that each student gets the support that they need.
